Skyrim is a vast game that not only has you completing quests and side quests, but after the Hearthfire update, houses became a must-have for
Grand Theft Auto 5 (GTA 5), created by Rockstar Games, is pretty famous among the gaming community. It was released on Xbox 360 and PS3
It’s a new chapter for gaming! New age games have changed the gaming industry, and developers are taking advantage of new technologies to create immersive
Darksiders III (Available August 1st to August 31st)
Taken place before the first Darksiders game, you control Fury, one of the Four Horseman of the Apocalypse, in a quest to capture the Seven Deadly Sins. Played in the third-person perspective, you will take on different elemental forms to enhance your combat capabilities. Use whips, swords, flails, and daggers to take on enemies. Fights have been made harder compared to previous games, but you won’t find the large crowds of enemies anymore.
As with the majority of role-playing games, leveling is very important as you progress to get stronger and power up your weapons. Where Darksiders III stands out is the bosses. They present a real challenge the further into the game you go, and this is where persistence is needed.
Not as dense as some role-playing games, but combat and boss battles really shine in the 20 hours of the main story.
Yooka-Laylee (Available August 16th to September 15th)
Explore big, beautiful worlds and meet an unforgettable cast of characters as buddy-duo Yooka & Laylee on their Epic Adventure. Discover challenging boss fights with hulking bosses, oddball characters, minecart challenges, unique multiplayer games and a co-op mode, retro-tastic arcade games, and more!
These characters are set up to be mascots of the franchise and are destines to endure in future adventures.
Playtonic Games initially released this all-new open-world platformer in April 2017 as a spiritual successor to the Banjo-Kazooie series, released nearly 20 years ago on the Nintendo 64. Played from a third-person perspective, you control two characters that work together in their quest to retrieve a magical book from an evil corporation. With puzzle-solving, enemies to defeat, and a 3D environment to explore, who doesn’t enjoy controlling a Chameleon and a Bat.
One thing to note is this game’s brilliant soundtrack. The creative talent behind this sound is David Wise (Donkey Kong Country) and Grant Kirkhope (Banjo-Kazooie), who have teamed up to create a melodic masterpiece that’s sure to scratch that nostalgia itch.
For fans of 3D Platforming and those looking for a dose of nostalgia and a huge cast of memorable characters, this game is perfect but don’t expect anything new from the gameplay.
Lost Planet 3 (Available August 1st to August 15th)
Taking place on E.D.N. III., relive the adventures of Jim Peyton as he reveals the hidden truths within the environments of the same planet from previous games.
While also having more of a story-driven narrative than Lost Planet 2. If you have previously played the first game, this iteration will explain the events that led to it, but the story starts at the beginning for those coming in with no experience. Gameplay is very much quest-based as you choose to take on core quests to advance the story or side quests that help the planet’s fellow inhabitants.
Worth looking for those who enjoy a story-focused third-person shooter; just don’t expect the graphics to be on par with current games.
Garou: Mark of the Wolves (available August 16th to August 31st)
Mark of the Wolves is the ninth and final game in the Fatal Fury series and reminds us of early Street Fighter games, which is never bad to be compared to. With game mechanics that we are all used to, there isn’t anything new here, but the choice of characters and hidden characters to find this could be a fun arcade game to pass the time.
Fans of one-on-one combat games will enjoy and appreciate this game that could have been considered a genre leader if it wasn’t for Street Fighter’s domination.
